In 2008, NOAA Fisheries (also known as the National Marine Fisheries Service, an office of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration within the Department of Commerce) published a podcast about weird ocean creatures. It was targeted at children but provided information mostly unknown to adults as well. The podcast was presented by someone humorously identifying herself as Weird Grandma. After a website redesign, the podcast disappeared from its NOAA website location (http://www.nmfs.noaa.gov/rss/podcasts/weirdfins/).
These MP3 files were recovered from Archive.org's Wayback Machine. A few MP3 files, which were not downloadable due to coding errors were also recovered by examining the source code.
NOAA Fisheries website moved this podcast to its 2009 Year of Science archive, where it remains unknown to search engines. The site states that the podcast is public domain and is freely distributable. https://oceanservice.noaa.gov/education/yos/
